  1. My teenage daughter is a Beatles freak. She is loving it. While I like their music, I think I have had my fill.

  2. I love Beatles music, and my son has become a huge Beatles fan, so to that extent, the game is great. The problem is that Beatles songs just aren’t that complicated, many of them aren’t particularly fast-paced, and the actual playing of the instruments is not very difficult. Especially with all the hype, I expected more and better from the gameplay, so for me, it was a disappointment.

  3. Let me start by saying that I may be a bit jaded because I’m a huge Beatles fan. That being said, this game is great! The backgrounds while playing are well thought out and very cool. Haven’t played with another singer yet, so I don’t know what to make of the new harmonizing feature yet. Best new feature is that fact that you don’t have to play a career to unlock most of the songs. You can play most of them in quickplay from the first time you turn the game on.

This is my favorite of any of the Rock Band or Guitar Hero games that I’ve played, simply because I love every song and there are none that I play simply because I’m forced to if I want to unlock more songs. Highly recommended!

  4. Last night, there we all were in the family room: my wife and my toddler son, my mother and father-in law, and my niece and nephew rocking out and singing the songs of the Beatles. At one point my wife turned to me and said, “Is this how you pictured it?” And I said, “Yes.” The Beatles music spans generations and Beatles Rock Band provides an incredibly engaging experience to love these songs all over again. The game is well designed in every aspect:sound, graphics, and gameplay. For the right family, this would be the perfect game to bring to Thanksgiving or another holiday gathering.

  5. I won’t do a long, picky review and leave the gushing to other reviewers… however Beatles Rock Band deserves some gushing. It’s very fun and you will probably end up playing through it on the first night you have it. It loses a star only because of the length issue (and it would only be a half star if Amazon’s interface allowed that). With a catalog like the Beatles have, of course, if you leave anything out you are sure to hear from someone who happens to hold that particular song or album in the highest regard. However, some of the staples like “Love Me Do”, “Please Please Me”, “Penny Lane”, “Strawberry Fields Forever”, etc are missing without any notice that they’ll appear as downloads in the future. I am posting this review in hopes that we’ll see at least all the Beatles “number one” hits and perhaps even some of the more deep tracks too (did I hear someone mention “You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)”? Egads! :-)
